Delete your Locufy Teams account and data.
Locufy Teams is the workforce app your employer uses to run the rota and record your hours. You can ask for your account and your personal data to be deleted at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. This page says how to ask, what gets deleted, and what your employer may have to keep.

How to request deletion
Either route works. Pick whichever is easier.
1. Ask your employer. Whoever administers your workplace’s Locufy Teams account can close your account and remove your personal details from it directly. This is usually the quickest route, and it is the right one if you are leaving the job anyway — your employer decides what is kept about you, so a request made to them covers everything.
2. Email us. Write to [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, with “delete my data” in the subject or the message. Sending it from your account address is how we know the request is really yours; if you no longer have access to that address, say so and we will find another way to check.
We will confirm in writing within 30 days. In practice it is usually a few working days. If we need something from your employer first — because they hold the record, not us — we will tell you that in the same reply rather than leave you waiting.
What is deleted
These are the things Locufy holds to make the app work. They are deleted outright, not hidden or marked inactive.
- Your sign-in — your account, your email address as a login and your stored password. Once it is gone you can no longer sign in, on the app or in a browser.
- Your devices — push notification registrations, remembered sessions and the sign-in log kept for security.
- Your profile — your photo, phone number, home address and emergency contacts.
- Location readings — the position recorded at your clock-ins and clock-outs, unless your employer needs them to settle a pay query that is still open.
- Photos you added — receipts, certificates and anything else you attached from your camera or your phone.
- Your messages — what you wrote in team chat and on shift threads is removed or detached from your name.
What your employer may keep
Your employer, not Locufy, is responsible for your employment record, and the law that applies to pay and working time requires them to keep parts of it for a set period after you leave. We cannot delete those on your behalf, and nor can they.
- Hours worked and pay — timesheets, approved hours, overtime and anything that fed a payslip.
- Leave and absence — holiday taken and owed, and sickness records where employment law requires them.
- Employment paperwork — your contract, policies you signed and qualifications required for the work.
- Anything under an open dispute, claim or inspection, until it is resolved.
Where a record has to be kept, we keep the least that satisfies the obligation and nothing more. The periods, and what happens at the end of them, are in the retention section of the privacy policy.
A few things worth knowing
- Deleting the app does not delete your data. Removing Locufy Teams from your phone only removes the app. Ask using one of the two routes above.
- Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no restoring it afterwards. If you later work for the same employer again, you start with a new account.
- You can ask for a copy first. Under the GDPR you can ask to see what is held about you before it goes. Say so in the same message and we will send it before deleting anything.
- You can ask for less than everything. If you only want one thing removed — a photo, a phone number — ask for that instead. You do not have to close the whole account.
If something goes wrong
If you do not hear back within 30 days, or you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority — in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission. You can also write to us again at [email protected] and we will escalate it.
