Fill the gap before anyone has to ring around.
Open shifts go to the people who are free, nearby and under their hours. One tap to ask, one tap to accept. The week is published before the kettle boils.
The rota, in your hands.
Drag the shift onto someone free, or tap it and tap them. The hours check answers before you let go. Publish, and see what their phone gets.
What the week does for you
Copy last week
Most weeks look like last week. Copy it, fix the exceptions, publish. Ten minutes.
Who can cover?
An open shift lists the people who are free, nearby, under their hours and have the skill. One tap asks them.
Checks as you drag
Hours, leave, skills and clashes are checked while the shift is still in your hand — not after.
Publish once
Everyone gets the week on their phone and confirms with a tap. Later changes go only to the people they touch.
Open shifts on the app
Staff see shifts they can take and take them. You approve, or let it happen.
Appointments on the same calendar
If you use Locufy Bookings, appointments and shifts sit side by side. One calendar, no double-booking.
Questions about scheduling
Can staff swap shifts between themselves?
Yes, with your approval or without it — your choice per team. A swap is checked the same way a drag is: hours, leave, skills.
Does it handle split shifts, nights and weekends?
Yes. A shift is a start, an end and a place; nights and splits are just shifts. Weekend and night rates are set once and applied on the timesheet.
What about people who don’t have a smartphone?
They still get the week by SMS, and a manager can clock them in and out from the manager app.
Can I print it?
Yes — a clean A4 week per site, if the kitchen wall wants one.
